Abandoned and forgotten by the fey and the dwarves, the humans, orcs, and goblins inherited Dreb. Vast cities once inhabited by the other races now lay dormant and empty. The energy from The Shattering had turned much of the flora along the northern edge of Dreb into a clay-like substance. Once lush forests now stood lifeless. All was not lost however, Drebbish farmers quickly discovered that the clay had a great amount of utility. The substance that now composed these petrified trees was extremely rich with nutrients, and could be tilled into the soil to produce hearty and delicious crops. Drebbish artificers were delighted to find that the clay had powerful magical properties as well. When molded and fired it took the form of an almost unbreakable stone that would greedily accept even the most powerful of enchantments. As the Drebbish population began to harvest this potent material, it was quickly discovered that the forests were not exactly as lifeless as the trees that composed them. Fearsome creatures, mutated by the divine energy radiating from the newly-sundered Elysium began to emerge. Among these creatures were a select few humanoids who had wandered too close to Elysium just before The Shattering. These divinely-infused humanoids would become the first aasimar.

Modern day Dreb is ruled by an orchish empress known as Kargar, The Dread. Her seat of power lies in the capital city of Crossvale.
